We decided to use Google Presentation to create a commercial advertising Clusty. The reason that we wanted to use Google Presentation was because it would be the easiest to collaborate with. The sharing feature for Google Apps is so user friendly when partnering on a task. However, we also wanted to add in sound to our presentation, thus Google Presentation was not the best fit after all. Once the visual presentation was finished, we downloaded the presentation from Google Drive into the PowerPoint format. From there we were able to add in the narration through recording sounds and placing them into the presentation.
In Mod 5, we focused on Clusty as one of the alternative search engines and really liked what the platform had to offer so we wanted to create something to publicize its features.
Chrissy put together the 10 slides with screenshots from Clusty. She designed the slide layouts and determined which features to emphasize.
Stacy took the Google Presentation and converted it to PowerPoint then added in the narration. Some of the slide animation had to be altered to fit in the sound, so she also revised some of the slides.
